Afternoon All!

Well, the rain is a welcome addition to the lawns, but here's hoping it holds off for the CrowFest and Scarecrow Festival next week! Remember, stall holders, scarecrow builders - sign up sheets are in the pub for you to complete! CrowFest tickets can be ordered online or by cash in the pub.

And what of the weekend ahead? Well, here's a brief reminder of our plans...

Tonight:
Chippy Night is back, between 6pm and 8pm, with the regulars available and cooked freshly to order!

Saturday:
Brunch Rolls and Prem Footy between 12pm and 2pm
In the evening, we welcome 'Out of Order' back to The Live - weather permitting they'll be in the garden. If the weather looks a bit dodgy, we'll move them inside!

Sunday:
Roast Dinners are served 12pm to 3pm. We've two tables remaining, so get in touch if you'd like to dine with us!

And just like that, in the blink of an eye, we're on the cusp of September!!! And to help you all deal with the shock, here's what's on at The Live this week...

Tonight:
Quiz Night hosted by Nic Paul, starts at 7.30pm!

Tuesday:
Pie and Pint Night from 7pm to 9pm.

Wednesday:
Casserole Lunch Special, served 12pm to 2pm
Pizza Night from 7pm to 9pm

Thursday:
Start the weekend early with bottle promos from 7pm to close!

Friday:
Celebrate back to school with bottomless tea/coffee and a pastry or cake for £5, between 12pm and 3pm.
Chippy Night returns between 6pm and 8pm!

Saturday:
Brunch rolls served between 12pm and 3pm
Live Prem Football at 12.30pm with Newcastle v Bournemouth on our screens.
In the evening we welcome back 'Out of Order' to The Live, kicking their sets off at 8pm!

Sunday:
Roast Dinners served between 12pm and 3pm.

Sorry to shout, but it’s BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND! And what a way to start it…

Tonight:
Between 6pm and 8pm is taking the kitchen back and it’s all about Tapas! We don’t reserve tables, but do take advanced orders!

Saturday:
Brunch Rolls are served between 12pm and 2pm. We’ll also have the Liverpool v Forest game on our screens from 12:30.

In the evening it’s Disco Bingo and, as ever, we are jam packed to the rafters! The fun, dancing, singing and occasional birdie song kicks off at 8pm.

Sunday:
Due to the Bank Holiday, our kitchen is closed for a bit of a clean but we’re open for drinks as usual!

Monday:
We’re open as usual from 4pm.
In the evening we welcome Nic Paul back to the pub as it’s our regular monthly quiz, kicking off at 7:30pm!

Here's what we've lined up this week, as he hurtle towards the August Bank Holiday Weekend...

Mon: Burger Night (7-9pm) – Steak Burger, chips, onion rings & drink for £15.

Tue: Pie & Pint Night! Duston Village Bakery Pie, mash, peas, gravy & a drink for £15.

Wed: Beef Casserole Lunch (12-2pm) & Pizza Night (7-9pm).

Thu: Weekend Warm-up! B**r bottles £3, Fruit C***r £4 (from 7pm).

Fri: Bottomless Tea/Coffee & Cake (£5, 12-3pm). A Bank Holiday One-Off see an old favourite return....Tapas! Served between 6pm and 8pm, we strongly advise pre-orders! We don't reserve tables, so it's first come, first served.

Sat: Brunch Rolls (12-2pm). Live Football (12.30pm). Disco Bingo from 8pm, fully booked!

Sun: Sunday Roasts (12-3pm). Free delivery available in Harpole & Western Gate!

Here’s what we have lined up for you…

Tonight:
Chippy Night is served between 6pm and 8pm. All food is cooked fresh to order!

Saturday:
We’ve a cracking start to the day…Brunch Rolls are served between 12pm and 2pm. And within that we also have Hull v Man Utd on our screens too!
In the evening, from 7pm to close ALL G&T’s are just £5!

Sunday:
Our lovely Roast Dinners are served between 12pm and 3pm. We’ve still got a couple of tables so get in touch if you’d like to dine with us ☺️

A little reminder that next Friday, an old favourite is back, with Tapas served between 6pm and 8pm! The menu is prepped and ready and will go out on Monday - orders in advance are recommended!

Before we share our plans for the week, wanted to share some news and ask a favour! We’ve been nominated in all 5 categories for Pub of The Year in South Northants ☺️🤩🙌🏻 So, our little favour is that you use the QR codes to vote for us in the drop down menus from the site - it takes about 30 seconds to complete and would be a great achievement for our little community pub!

Afternoon all!

The temperature is dropping a smidge, but we’ve still got.m a sizzling start to the weekend for you! We’re thankfully, in this heat, stepping away from the fryers and welcome Jude’s Kitchen back to the pub, serving up their delicious smash burgers! And to help set the mood, further, from 8pm we welcome Kirsty and The Keys for their debut at The Live!

Tomorrow, we’ve our regular brunch rolls available from Midday until 2pm and then in the evening we’ve a full house for Nic Paul’s entertainment quiz, kicking off at 7:30pm - please note that food won’t be available.

On Sunday, we’ve our roast dinners available between Midday and 3pm, so get in touch if you wish to dine with us!

Lastly, a little reminder that as a one off, we’re closed on this coming Tuesday, as we’ve a family event planned.

Happy Monday Folks!

Thanks to all who joined us over the weekend - we had a great time celebrating our 4th year! As ever though, we continue to look forward and plan ahead - so here's what we have lined up for the week...

Tonight
Burger Night is served between 7pm and 9pm. A succulent steak burger with chips and onion rings along with choice of drink for just £15 (Camden/Asahi not included).

Tuesday
Pie and Pie Night between 7pm and 9pm. Duston Village Bakery Pie, with Mash, Peas and Gravy. Served with your choice of drink for £15.

Wednesday
Ham, Egg and Chips Lunch Special, served 12pm to 2pm.
Pizza Night is back between 7pm and 9pm - your choice of pizza (with extra toppings) and a drink for £15. The pizzas are large and good for someone with a big appetite or can be perfect for sharing!

Thursday
Start the weekend early! Bottles of b**r for £3 and Fruit C***r for £4 from 7pm until close!

Friday
Bottomless Tea/Coffee and slice of cake/pastry for £5, between 12pm and 3pm.
A slight change from our normal Friday evening offer, with our friends Jude's Kitchen joining us! We also have live chill out music on offer too, with Kirsty and The Keys performing from 8pm!

Saturday
Brunch Rolls served between 12pm and 2pm
We're joined by Nic Paul from 7.30pm as he hosts an entertainment quiz to test your knowledge! We've space for one, perhaps two more teams, so get in touch if you want to join us.
