I went to this little cafe right in Diss town centre yesterday. They do a selection of all day breakfasts, waffles, crepes, cakes and scones, so lots to choose from. I had a poached egg on toast and an apple juice.

Tony and I have ordered waffles from here before, and they were delicious. I think mine was with blueberries and cream, and Tony went for a banoffee one I think.

It’s opposite a pub, which I’m not going to name. They don’t deserve any promotion! I gage sideways glances to the pub through the window, while I enjoyed spending my money at a venue where you’re welcomed whatever your gender, age and dress code. 😉🤣🤣

At the weekend we took Archie the greyhound to Thornham Walks near Eye in Suffolk. They have a lovely little cafe to have a nice cuppa and a snack in after your walk.

I had a fruit scone with clotted cream and jam with a Passionfruit Iced Tea.

Tony had a cheese scone and a ginger beer.

Archie had a ‘doggy sausage’ brought to him all chopped up and ready to demolish.

They also had bowls of fresh water for the dogs.

Today I took Archie to The Soul Cafe in Harleston, where we were able to sit in the courtyard garden. It was lovely and peaceful, the service was great, and I really enjoyed my scrambled egg on seeded sourdough bread. I had a sparkling rhubarb drink rather than a hot drink today.

Archie did get some scrambled egg. 😉

This is a lovely little cafe in Bungay, Suffolk. We were allowed to take Archie our greyhound in with us, and he was given a few treats and a bowl of water.

Tony had cheese on toast and I had scrambled eggs on toast with a cuppa. Lovely atmosphere, love the decor and the food and service were fantastic.

This is a lovely little cafe in Diss. It’s at No. 8 Marketplace and is on the right as you walk in.

The service is really good. The staff appear happy in their work. The cakes are amazing!

So if you happen to be shopping in Diss or maybe you have an appointment, then try this little venue out for a little treat and break from the hustle and bustle.

Welcome to my latest venture!

Since Tony and I are now settled into our new home, with affordable rent and energy bills, we’ve been able to treat ourselves occasionally to cuppas and often cakes in local cafes.

I used to work at a well know local pub, and so I learned the importance of good customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.
