I want to share with you the magic of an outing to La Pasticceria…

…as a child, it was my favourite Sunday treat: going together with my dad to La Pasticceria. The moment I entered the shop, I would be enveloped in a wonderful, incredible mix of scents—vanilla, sugar, cream, chocolate, candied oranges, marzipan…and oh! the excitement at all those beauties: chocolate truffles, strawberry roulades,

diplomatiche, cannoli…Looking avidly through the glass of the vetrina (display case), I would try to imagine their taste…

Now it is your turn…everything that I make is handmade so that you can experience that same joy and pleasure; the greatest care is given during the preparation and assembling and only the highest quality natural ingredients are used, ensuring beautiful and scrumptious biscuits and puddings.

MANY cakes went out of the Biscotti Di Debora bakery door this weekend, as we really got back into the swing after our summer break! At the same time we restarted Open Bakery with new patisserie and doughnut launches - stay tuned for more! - so it was a busy old Saturday.

One of our favourites of the day was this simple anniversary cake. On the inside was our lush, trifle-y Vanilla & Fresh Fruits cake, packed with vanilla creme pat and fresh berries. Outside, the finish requested was minimal, with decoration of fresh flowers, meringues and berries: such a pretty choice!

Huge congratulations to Anna Rita and Tonino! You know what they say -- the first 50 years are always the hardest 😉

If you've been missing your Saturday Italian bakery run to Dry Drayton, the wait is over. The BDD cake fairies are prepping for the return of Open Bakery this Saturday, 5th September!

The guest doughnuts are still slightly secret, but one is a customer favourite blast from the past, and as for the other... well, if you're a fan of Bounty bars, you should probably pop over! There's brand new patisserie to tempt you, and the Mocha Tiramisu makes a return for Autumn.

We'd love to see you! 10am to 2pm or until sold out, at Unit 18, Dry Drayton Industries, Scotland Road, Dry Drayton CB23 8AT. An easy drive from much of the city, fuss free and loads of parking!

We're going to be at the Cambridge Wedding Fair, organised by elle-events mgmt, in association with UNIVERSITY ARMS, Cambridge and Grand Arcade, in just a couple of weeks!

It's got to be one of the easiest and most fun ways for brides and grooms in waiting to try a selection from the Biscotti Di Debora wedding cake range, and see some of our cakes in person. The ballroom at the gorgeous University Arms Hotel in the city centre will be full of everything you need for a gorgeous Cambridge wedding, and it's free to visit.

We love our life when we're asked to make a cake as pink and girly as possible! ☺️ For this number cake, we enjoyed combining meringue kisses, macarons, jewel-toned berries and the most beautiful edible flowers, thanks to our friends at Nurtured in Norfolk.

Inside it's a rich chocolate sponge layered with creamy chocolate filling, because that's the birthday girl's favourite. 🩷

If you want guaranteed impact for your Cambridge wedding or event, as well as a cream-filled, crunchy caramel profiterole dessert everyone will love, a croquembouche is hard to beat! Our latest took us to a country wedding in Fenland, on a classic English summer day.

We can make you a croquembouche to serve up to 100 guests (contact us to chat about larger numbers). At the other end of the scale, our smaller tabletop croquembouches serve from 10 people, so you really can have one whatever the size of your party.
