Just a reminder for our Home Ed regulars on a Wednesday morning - we are starting to get almost to capacity on a Wednesday some weeks, so even if you are a regular we recommend you book your space/time each week to make sure we can accomodate you.

We will of course try to fit everyone in as best we can, but we'd hate you to miss out and have to alter your routine if we were full on the day. We have to give priority to those that have pre-booked and will reserve a table for those pre-booked - we thank you for your continued support.

Things are a little different next week with appointments for the hub. It's the last week of the school holidays, both Susan & Keith have both attended training courses in the last couple of weeks at night and over the weekend which means things have had to move around a bit next week to compensate, oh and of course to spend time with our own family - that is what going self-employed is at least a bit about!

The hub is closed this weekend and Monday due to appointments and prior commitments, and will be open Wednesday and Saturday next week for your coffee, snack, and LEGO needs.

Just a note on booking Brick Builders sessions - you can only book in advance here - you can't book same day slots online - just drop us a message or call if you're thinking a same day booking and we'll check for you to see if we have space.

Northern Balance Wellness Yoga classes and appointments all go ahead as scheduled next week.

The Pumpkin Spice Syrup has arrived at last! So it'll be available on Wednesday, or if you've an appointment with Northern Balance Wellness if you ask Susan nicely she might be able to make you one!

Oh, and there might be some new cakey stuff available from Wednesday - including some Vegan options - We'll post some more pics when we get them.

Just an update on some additions to the Lego set catalog - I've pieced together another 2 Super Mario sets 71380, and 71382. This will join with 71360 with a working interactive Mario once I've found a couple more pieces that have gone for a walk.

If you haven't seen the updated set list we've recently added some Minecraft Sets Including:

So as I’m sorting out sets to add to the selection today, I have a quick count up of sets currently awaiting piecing together, and it came to around 120 - all sizes less than 100 pieces up to some that are in the hundreds and thousands, lots of themes, newer and some older stuff. That’s in addition to the 90 odd sets we currently have available.

So it’s been crossing my mind recently - how would you feel about a Lego Library type subscription service whereby you could pay a small amount each month to be join and be part of the service and then pay a small percentage of the cost of the set to hire it and take home to build and then return when you’re done?

No postage (or associated postage costs) just collection and drop off from The Mindful Hub and maybe another couple of collection points in the wider area?

I am aware of and have tried brick borrow myself in the past, but the additional postage costs every time I chose a set and time between returning a set and getting the next one was too much for me.

Let me know your thoughts on if this would work for you or not - suggestions welcomed.
