Morning lovelies!

I'm looking for someone to come and join the Petals family and work alongside myself and my gorgeous ladies.

This is a weekend position and possibly week days for holiday cover.

If you are interested please message me and introduce yourself..... however I do have some criteria that must be met to appoint the right person!

🌸 you must be over the age of 16 this would also suit a mature person.
🌸 you must message me yourself not your mum please!
🌸 you must be smartly presented in appearance.
🌸 enthusiastic and socially able to communicate with people in a friendly and polite manner.
🌸 previous experience a bonus but not necessarily a must.
🌸 no long finger nails please due to health and hygiene reasons.
🌸 be able to multitask under pressure and remain alert.
🌸 have common sense.
🌸 want to work!
🌸 be flexible for later finishes.
🌸 have initiative!
🌸 be able to leave your phone alone whilst working!
🌸 like people and able to engage with them.

Long post warning 😄 🤣
So on Monday 4th of may it was Petals 13th birthday!
Can you believe it has been 13 years since I first opened the doors and welcomed our first customers into my dream!?
I can't quite believe it has been all this time as it's literally flown by.....some years faster than others!

I have been utterly amazed by how much we've grown, evolved and remained committed to our customers....its always our priority ❤️

I've shared so many moments and life changing events within these walls.
Petals has seen me on my best, worst and most vulnerable days, weeks even years.....yet I've always showed up .... put on the face that holds Petals together.... keeping hold on the reins when all I've wanted to do was let go and go....... I've lost some of the most important people in my life during these 13 years, painful dark days 💔 but Petals has always been my safe space .... the one thing I've held onto without it judging me if I'm falling to bits or just want to sit and absorb it. I can and I have done this many many times!

So 13 years ago I had a solid foundation around me .... supporting me, reassuring me when I doubted myself.
They may not be here anyone but I'm still here fighting the doubts alone fighting battles with the same gusto I had to find on my own.....and I have!!

I've done it and I'm so proud of what this place means to so many of you too.... I take great pride in that. I always wanted Petals to feel like you were coming to my home and you felt safe here, valued and welcome.

Not everyone who has passed through Petals has been welcomed long term .... they've shown their true colours, betrayed the trust I gave them and stabbed me hard in the back .... but still I held my head up high knowing karma is a bitch and your time will come!!
There's always one bad apple that rots everything around them eventually 🙄

But..... 99% of people who have been here, sat in my chairs, eaten my food and soaked up Petals have been the reason I've kept going forward.... the infectious laughter, the humour written on the walls that makes you laugh .... makes me laugh 😃 the joy I see in you....your comments...you returning again and again it's all priceless 😀
Without you Petals would be nothing. Without you I wouldn't have kept going when I feel worthless and broken 💔.....without you I feel invisible.
Petals has saved me many times .... as have you!

I love Petals ❤️ I love my ladies who work alongside me.
I love the friends who have celebrated with me .... I love my customers..... I love my family.
Most of all I have memories here that no-one can take from me or replace, the people who we've lost their footprints 👣 remain here and will always remain here .... here's to many more memories ✨️ many more celebrations, many more cuppas with friends 🧡

Lastly here's to you .... from the bottom of my heart you're support ❤️ loyalty and kindness has never wavered ..... thank you for keeping the pink dream a reality in a world that can be dark ..... ❤️ 💙 💜

As mothers day comes to a close I want to say huge thank you to everyone who choose to celebrate with us at Petals.... I'm always grateful to see families together on such a special day 💗

It's always a stressful weekend, the build up more so.... making and prepping takes more time than you'd imagine, but again, we got there and did it!!

Special thanks to Tina, who worked so incredibly hard with me .... you're amazing 👏

So, as tradition my mums photo was on show as was Tina's, as we said goodbye to our last customers today we both had a tear and group hug with Emily.🥰 it's always a difficult time of year but I survived 😄

I forgot to take pics of the food...doh!!! but your kind comments do the hard work more justice than any photo can.
Yes it was all homemade and yes we sampled everything just to be sure 😄 well there's got to be some perks of the job!!

The traditions continued on the way home as I cried all the way!!! Relief and pride!!
I put my heart and soul into Petals have given up every mothers day since becoming a mum to work on the nursery and then in Petals since I opened it 13 years ago....so yes my children have never had mum at home 🏡 sad really but as today like everyday showed me my two wonderful children are my biggest and proudest achievement.....they love me and support me in so many ways you'll never know!
Emily is hugger captain with the biggest heart and Daniel, well he's definitely my boy.... wise, stable, full of drive and is strong beyond words....all these things he tells me I am!!!
I'm blessed in so many ways....even by my 6 dogs 🐕 who everyday leave me mountains of special parcels for me to pick up....they always look so happy with themselves like they are giving me presents 😄 🤣
So to you all no matter what today means for you good or not so good ..... its done, passed we survived ready to face another day! Well done you ###

Many more to do before then but I've made a start, I'm sure you know by now I start off well then loose enthusiasm 😄 🤣

Mothers day is approaching fast.....please confirm all your bookings via telephone ☎️ or message please.
We still have a few tables available..... every year we get so many booking or trying to last minute..... so don't wait to be disappointed..... we limit ourselves as we believe service is just as important as the food and also we want you to enjoy it all without being rushed!!

So here is our mother's day afternoon tea menu for 2026.
We shall be doing this on both the 14th and 15th of March.

Personally mothers day is mixed emotions..... I love seeing the different generations celebrating with us, I'm always so grateful you choose Petals for such a special day.
However; it's always a reminder I'm not with my children or have my own mum to share the day with, but I always bring her photo here on the day!

So, what I'm attempting to say is embrace your family while you can. Love them with all your heart ❤️ as you don't know what tomorrow brings.
Whatever or wherever you go for mother's day I hope you're treated like the queen you are!

Whooo hooo!!!
Happy new year everyone ✨️
We reopen tomorrow 6th of January.... it may be cold and snowy, but as our beautiful Alison always says "it is always springtime at petals"!

I want to acknowledge 2025,
It was another exceptional year for Petals, another year of meeting new people, welcoming many babies! Hearing new stories with plenty of giggles aswell as people finding the safe space of Petals to retreat to. Such an accolade indeed.

Personally 2025 was new territory for me, it was the year of the snake and shedding what no longer serves us.... I have lived my life believing everything happens for a reason, and I stand by that. People come and go just like the tide of the sea.... its just the ebb and flow of life.
Positive parts of 2025 include my beautiful puppies, my amazing friends and family, my incredible children ❤️ visiting Poland and auschwitz and birkenau, nearly got kidnapped by two men .... could have been lost forever!!😱
Weekends away in southwold and Aldeburgh, taking Emily to see coldplay at Wembley... the most goosebumpy concert ever!!! Many many giggles and silliness with people I love ❤️
Finished off at new years eve at Emily's favourite place!!

2026 is a new start for us all already plans for good times have been made!
I never wait for things to come to me.... I go get it myself, after all we spend enough time waiting .... to be let down!

So my wonderful, loyal beautiful customers who grace my Petals I thank you once again for supporting me and my safe space, thank you to the wonderful ladies who work alongside me... who have been hugely kind and patient with me, and carried me in many ways 😊 you're as much a part of the family of Petals as I am and I appreciate you all very much 😊

My darling dad was with us the last time we went new years ❤️ I thought of him and when this was played I felt him .... patting me on back saying 'good girl, keep going forward'

This makes all the hard work and difficult days worth it when you our customers acknowledge the effort that's gone into making Petals what it is.
Reviews can damage a business or make it..... thankfully the not so good ones are rare!
I've always wanted Petals to be unique... I see others imitate...but you can't steal the soul of something that isn't your dream.

Your support has always been incredible and I want you to know that I'm forever grateful 🙏

And no I didn't bribe for this review....we have so many if I did we wouldn't have any cake left haha 😆 😅

Friday 14th we have the amazing Natalie Walker psychic medium with us, this her last visit with us to Petals this year so don't miss out on this opportunity to hear from your loved ones.

I have only a few spaces available for this small intimate event so first come basis.

Price is 30pp includes a quiche supper, drinks and cake not included.

Natalie is extraordinary, she's also a teacher at the world famous psychic school, teaching and demonstrating to people from all over the world.
She's humble and works for spirit and loves what she does.

It's a wonderful evening in cosy surroundings and so amazing to be a part of.

Hello ..... gosh it's been so long since I have posted anything!!!
But I'm still here 😄
So just to bring you all up to date from petals.... its cottage pie season and it's been as popular as ever as well as soups and our baked camerbert too. Hearty homemade fresh food 😋 you can't beat it!!

That's always been something I pride myself on, nothing is brought in, nothing is microwaved nothing is rushed, all cooked in our oven to order.
You won't see a wholesalers lorry here! Proper food, proper tearoom, real people with a friendly warm welcome.
Speaking of warmth it's so cosy with the fire roaring.

Christmas is fast approaching so yes its hamper time.
Again these are unique and all made by me! Starting prices just £8 ..... something for everyone and of course we have so many gift options all over petals!! I amaze myself where i put everything.... but again it makes us unique.... quirky and It's become as much of Petals as the cake!!!

I never serve anything I wouldn't want to recieve or eat and nothing gets me more cross than going somewhere and I'm dished up something pre made or out of a microwave.
I value my customers and you deserve really tasty homecooked food 😋 yes it's more expensive to make but my goodness it tastes so much better 😋 ☺️

Lots of love ❤️ and yes I'm all good, petals is thriving so am I.... so for those of you who have saying otherwise.... its. Not me!!! Another petals in Norfolk has closed .... as shaggy said .... it wasn't me!!!
