Whether you walk one stage or the whole route, everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, bring the family and help us shine a light on homelessness while raising vital funds for The Light Group.

⏰ Starting at 9:00am – Sowerby Bridge Lock

🚶‍♂️ STAGES & TIMINGS

• 9:00am – Start: Sowerby Bridge Lock
Set off along the canal towards Salterhebble

• Approx. 9:45am – Salterhebble (pass-through)
Short stretch to Elland

• 10:30am – Elland (Project C**t coffee stop ☕)
Bridgefield Mills, Elland Bridge – well-earned break

• 11:15am – Leave Elland
Continue towards Brighouse

• 12:15pm – Brighouse (lunch stop 🐟🍟)
Fish & chips at Blakeley’s of Brighouse

• 1:00pm – Depart Brighouse
Final stretch along the canal

• 3:30–4:00pm – Arrive Mirfield (finish 🏁)
Celebration and finish together

Volunteer Opportunity – Café Team

We’re looking for a couple of enthusiastic volunteers to join and support our café team, primarily on Fridays, with the possibility of helping on Thursdays too.

We’re looking for people who:

* Have a genuine interest in food and healthy eating
* Care about preparing and serving fresh, good-quality food
* Enjoy working as part of a friendly team
* Are reliable, positive and willing to get involved

Friday hours: approximately 8:30am–3:00/3:30pm

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys food, would like to gain experience in a café environment, and wants to contribute their time to something worthwhile.

Today was one of those days that reminds us why we do what we do. ❤️

Our café was filled with wonderful conversations, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, delicious food, and so many smiling faces. Every person who walked through our doors helped make today something special.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a coffee, enjoyed a meal, or simply took a moment to connect. We don’t take your support for granted, and we’re truly grateful to be part of this amazing community.

Here’s to more coffee, more conversations, and more moments together. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon! ☕🥐✨
