A woman from Halifax, believed to be travelling to Cape Verde,
has sparked widespread concern after failing to check in at Manchester Airport on Facebook & Instagram today.

Louise Natick, known locally as "Lou", a 26 year old mother of eight and thick as gorilla exhibit glass was expected to upload the traditional holiday departure photo: a half-finished glass of Prosecco alongside a full English breakfast from the Wetherspoon's in Manchester Terminal 2, captioned simply: "And relax..."
But the post never came.
Facebook issued a statement describing the situation as "highly unusual".

"It's extremely rare for a woman under 35 to leave the country without informing every potential burglar in the area exactly how long her house will be empty. We're becoming increasingly concerned for Lou's well-being."

Friends say there has also been absolutely no sign of the customary "holibobs" announcement, no "See ya in a week, guys!" status update, and not even the traditional "I've had worse Mondays" post featuring her boyfriend Rhys — a self-employed street level drug dealer with his own Jeckyl Moncler puffa coat— standing proudly outside a minus 1 ⭐️ all-inclusive resort.

Concern is growing.
A worried friend, Isabelle Ringing, who asked not to be named, said:
"It's completely out of character. Normally she can't go ten minutes without banging on about her holibobs. This time it's like she's just quietly left the country and simply got on with it."
She added:
"Even the lads at the fencing supplies yard who were dipping her in creosote last Thursday said she seemed unusually subdued."
Authorities are continuing their enquiries
