We had an eventful couple of weeks. We were nominated for the Voters’ Choice Restaurant of the Year at the 15th annual English Curry Awards 2026. We were shortlisted, which is an achievement in itself. The day before the award ceremony, I was contacted while I was abroad in Qatar. I told them I couldn’t attend because I was out of the country. They asked for my representation, so I sent my nephews to go in.
Despite not winning the voters’ choice of the year, we were recognised for our excellence service due to the close vote count.
There was a big surprise waiting. We were awarded the biggest award of the night, the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’, for our 30+ years of service in the Black Country. This recognition was overwhelming and emotional, and I couldn’t be prouder of our hard work and dedication. It’s rare for small businesses in less-known areas to receive such recognition. The award is for our customers, as they make our work possible. Thank you
