Staff required to join our small but friendly team in a busy, high volume cafe in the heart of the beautiful Haigh Woodland Park

We are looking for people who have some prior experience in making barista style coffee, serving, and food handling.

Weekends and school holidays are our busiest times so these are the core hours, but we are generally busy most days from April to November.

You would also be required to work outside of school hours so this job may not be suited to you if you had to do a school run, or had to attend college during the week for example.

The job is around 20 hours weekly with a view to more hours over the summer season, and possibly a more full time position due to a staff member going off on maternity in July.

🍔✨ Haigh Foodie Friday is back! ✨🍔
The legendary night of street food, music, and great vibes returns to Haigh Woodland Park for the first event of 2026! Expect your favourite traders, exciting new flavours, and the usual top‑quality entertainment in the beautiful Haigh courtyard.

📅 Friday 27 March
⏰ 6pm – 10pm
📍 Haigh Woodland Park Courtyard
🎟️ Free entry (car park charges apply)

Food traders include: Malaka Brothers Greek, Pepe Luigi's Paella, Just Delish, Chicken Bandits, Tintin foodie Asian noodles, Eyes on the Fries, White Lace Bakery, El Piloto, Pasta Au Due Pelati, Istanbul kitchen, Jyotis Momos, Wings and things.

This is alongside our fantastic courtyard tenants; Two Left Feet, Bar & Pizzetta, All You Knead, Graze at Haigh, Luisco

There is entertainment throughout the night from DJ Chris Payne and The Warlords

🌟Thank you for your donations! 🌟

☀️Thank you to the 50 attendees (and 10 dogs!) who took part in the Mayor of Wigan Borough on Saturday.

🤍The annual walk was a great success and £350 has been raised for this year’s chosen charities, All Ears MHA and Curious Minds.

🏛️The walk was a 4km guided route around the site with updates on the Haigh transformation project being given by the Haigh project team and our wonderful volunteers at various points.

🤍Thank you for your donations and to the fantastic team and volunteers.

Huge thank you to the fantastic courtyard businesses for their kind donations of drinks and ice creams 🍦

You would also be required to work outside of school hours so this job may not be suited to you if you had to do a school run, or had to attend college during the week for example. But we will have some positions for solely weekend and holiday work coming up in the near future too. Please only apply for this position if you can work outside of these.

We are no longer on Uber eats due to park rules but some of our delights you can find on the menu, plus a whole host of daily specials and grab and go sandwiches and snacks ❤️
