Our new Hideaways are starting to take shape and will soon be home to the Finnish sauna, herbal sauna and salt steam room, all nestled within our woodland spa garden.

With the glorious sunshine we’ve been enjoying, we can’t help but imagine spending warm summer days relaxing in the spa garden, surrounded by nature, when Sakura Spa opens this August.

Raise a stein for Oktoberfest 🍻

We're bringing a taste of Bavaria to Gisborough Hall as our ballroom transforms into a traditional Bavarian Beerhall.

Your ticket includes an arrival Augustiner Lagerbier Helles, a two-course German-inspired meal, live entertainment from an authentic Oompah band, and a DJ to keep the celebrations going long into the night. Behind the bar, you’ll also find Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier on tap alongside a handpicked selection of bottled Oktoberfest beers as well as a range of Dunkel, Weissbier and Helles.

So dust off your lederhosen, gather your friends and join us for a night of laughter, music and plenty of “Ein Prosit!”

Introducing Our Spa Treatments Manager: Ria 🌸

We are delighted to introduce Ria, our Spa Treatments Manager for the new Sakura Spa. Ria has been an integral part of Gisborough Hall for many years, leading the Revival Zone with dedication, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional guest care. Her move into this new role marks a natural and exciting next step as we prepare to open the doors to our brand‑new spa.

As part of the pre‑opening team, Ria is heading up everything treatment‑related within Sakura Spa. She is curating our new menu of therapies in partnership with Bamford and Elemis, shaping a collection that blends holistic wellbeing with results‑driven skincare. She is also leading the development of our signature Sakura Experiences, designed to reflect the spirit of renewal and tranquillity at the heart of the spa.

Alongside building the treatment menu, Ria is nurturing and developing our therapist team, bringing her experience, high standards, and passion for guest experience into every aspect of training and service design.

Ria will form part of the senior leadership team for Sakura Spa, working closely with our Spa Director, Vicki and our Spa Operations Manager, Faith to bring this long‑awaited project to life.

Her knowledge of the hotel, her connection to our guests and members, and her vision for exceptional spa experiences make her an invaluable part of this next chapter for Gisborough Hall.

To mark English Wine Week, we’ve introduced a new Wine, Dine & Stay experience that celebrates some of the exceptional wines now being produced on our own doorstep. Guests will find a bottle from Robin Hood's Bay Vineyard waiting in their room on arrival, a reminder that some of England’s most interesting vineyards are closer than many realise.

Introducing Our Spa Operations Manager: Faith 🌸

We are delighted to welcome Faith to the position of Spa Operations Manager in Sakura Spa. Faith joins us with a wealth of experience in luxury spa operations, most recently from The Feversham Arms, where she honed her expertise in delivering exceptional guest experiences and seamless spa management.

As part of the pre‑opening leadership team, Faith is overseeing the set-up of the operational side of the Spa from guest journey and service standards to pool and thermal experience management and health & safety. Her focus is on ensuring every detail runs smoothly and safely behind the scenes, allowing guests to enjoy a tranquil, restorative experience from the moment they arrive.

Faith brings a calm, professional energy and a deep understanding of what makes a spa truly special. Her operational insight and passion for hospitality will play a key role in shaping Sakura Spa’s reputation for excellence.

We’re thrilled to have her on board and look forward to seeing her expertise come to life as we prepare to open our doors.
