It is with a very heavy heart that we have to announce we are putting our beloved bike Betsy into retirement and closing down our little business.
We have thoroughly enjoyed the last few years of trading, we have been honoured to serve at so many gorgeous weddings, have thrown everything into the wonderful events we have attended and are proud to be part of the initial team of local food vendors that established The Great Grimsby Food Fight
However, like so many small buisnesses in the events and wedding industry, covid has hit us hard and we just cannot find a way to continue. With all our private bookings postponed until next year and events cancelled for the foreseeable future we have had to seek employment elsewhere. We had just about been managing to keep afloat and then, on top of everything we had a serious issue with our van and had to send it to van heaven. With it being the only way we can transport old Betsy, and with no revenue coming in to replace it the decision was kind of made for us.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful suppliers we have met along the way, many of whom have become good friends. A special mention to Charlotte and the team at Healing Manor, Mathew and Harriet at Hall Farm and Jo at Laceby Manor for always believing in our little business and giving us many opportunities to showcase Betsy at their lovely venues. To Jon and his team at the Lincs Wedding Show for always putting on an amazing showcase, to our fellow food fighters who's businesses we love to watch grow and go from strength to strength and to Rachel and the Efactor team for their support throughout.
We are hopeful that we can sell on our beloved business to someone local when all this is over and that she will continue to be part of many more weddings in the lovely venues around our area but for now it's On Yer Bike for the last time from us. X x
