TEMPORARY CLOSURE - APPROX 4 WEEKS

Just a reminder that we are now closed, temporarily for some building work. We will be closed for approx 4 weeks but will let you all know a definite date for re-opening when we have one.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you all when we are back.

Last one for a few weeks 😢

Freshly baked in house today, we have….
⭐️Caramel Cake - Vanilla sponge with fudge pieces, caramel buttercream, topped with more fudge pieces.
⭐️Double Chocolate Rocky Road - Rocky road with biscuit, chocolate, raisins, kitkat pieces, crushed M&M’s and marshmallows, topped with white choc and covered in crushed M&M’s.
⭐️Cinnamon Twists (VG) - Puff pastry twists with cinnamon sugar filling.

Please be aware that this week is our final week for approx 4 weeks. We are open today and tomorrow - Weds 16th & Thurs 17th September, 9.30am-2.30pm.
We commence our building work next week, 21st September.
We will post a definite opening date when we have one, but should be back open towards the end of October.

⭐️⭐️REMINDER OF OUR UPCOMING CLOSING PERIOD⭐️⭐️
As mentioned in our previous post, we are closed today (Tuesday 15th September) as we hold a funeral.

☀️We are open from tomorrow - Wednesday 16th & Thursday 17th September, 9.30am-2.30pm. These will be our last days of opening for approx 4 weeks.

☀️As many of you already know, we are having some work done on our building.
During the building work, we will not be able to open the coffee shop as we will have no toilet facilities available.
☀️The building work is due to start 21st September. The work will take approx 4 weeks. We will update the page when we have a definite re-opening date, but hopefully we will be back open towards the end of October.

Thank you for your custom and your patience with the opening hours changing recently. We appreciate it, and look forward to seeing many of you this week before our temporary closure.

⭐️UPCOMING CLOSING PERIOD⭐️
As mentioned in our previous post, we are closed this Tuesday (15th September) as we have a funeral.

☀️We are open next week, Wednesday 16th & Thursday 17th September, 9.30am-2.30pm.

We’ve missed a few haven’t we - sorry! But we have one this week 😊

Freshly baked in house today, we have….
⭐️Lemon Cake - Lemon sponge with lemon curd and lemon buttercream
⭐️Coconut & Raspberry Slice - shortbread base, raspberry middle, coconut topping
⭐️Banoffee Cupcakes - Banana cupcake, caramel centre and caramel buttercream

We also have

We are still missing Ian and looking forward to his return when he has fully recovered (and looking forward to his scones and sausage rolls).

We have had a few changes to our opening days and hours recently, and we thank you for your understanding with this.
We are open are usual hours and days this week - Tuesday, Weds, Thursday, 9.30-2.30pm.
Next week, we are closed Tuesday 15th for a funeral, but open as usual Weds and Thursday. There will be a further post about opening hours later as a reminder.

⭐️Weekly opening hours change for week commencing 17th August⭐️

As per our post last week, we have a few changes to our opening hours in the coming weeks, due to staff holidays, operations and a funeral.

This week we will be closed all day Tuesday 18th August, for the funeral of Stephen Stead.

We re-open Weds 19th, normal times (9.30am-2.30pm). We will have a reduced menu due to staff shortages on these 2 days - jacket potatoes, cakes and hot drinks.

📢 RECOVERY GARDEN ANNOUNCEMENT 🌱

A little change to our plans this week!

🌿 Our RECOVERY GARDEN will be on WEDNESDAY this week instead of Tuesday Grimsby Salvation Army - Duncombe Street Community Coffee Lounge is closed due to a funeral, which means we won't have access to the toilet facilities on Tuesday.
But that doesn't mean we're taking Tuesday off! 💙
☕ TUESDAY: If you're free, we're heading over to Grant Thorold Park for coffee at The Canopy Community Hub , and we'll use the opportunity to do a bit of co-production and planning for the Recovery Garden.
🚗 Need a lift? I'll be leaving the Grounded In Grimsby CIC Recovery Garden at 10am on Tuesday to head over there.

🌱 WEDNESDAY: Recovery Garden as usual – just a day later this week!
And as always, the usual criteria applies…
ALL WELCOME.

Claire, Centre Manager at Your Place Grimsby visiting ‘The Cup of Joy’ on Duncombe Street. The management at the Salvation Army Citadel, home to this lovely cafe, have kindly agreed to have one of our East Marsh History, Heritage and Health trail blue plaques on their historic building. Thank you for participating in this brand new Your Place project. ⭐️Change to some August opening hours⭐️

The next few weeks of our opening hours may be slightly different some days and weeks.
This is due to staffing, holidays and a funeral.

The earliest change is tomorrow, Wednesday 12th August. We will be open as usual at 9.30am but will close early at 1pm.
We will be back open Thursday 13th as normal, 9.30am -2.30pm.

Next week we are open a day late. Closed Tuesday 18th for the funeral of Stephen Stead.
We will re-open Weds & Thursday with normal hours but a reduced menu (jacket potatoes, cakes, hot & cold drinks).

The photo attached shows you the times and dates affected, and I will post an update each week highlighting the changes as they happen.
