An update on the Old Toll Bar
On 21 July, the Old Toll Bar Café will close its doors. The Old Toll Bar has been part of Gretna Green for many years, and its closure will be felt by many people in the local area.
We want to say a genuine thank you to everyone who has supported the café over the years. Whether you were a regular customer or simply called in from time to time, you helped make it what it was, and we’d be delighted to welcome you to Runaways Café or The Village Kitchen at the Famous Blacksmiths Shop site.
While the café is closing, the Old Toll Bar remains an important part of Gretna Green's story. We will continue to care for the building while we consider its future.
Importantly, every member of the Old Toll Bar team will be staying with us and moving into roles elsewhere across the business.
