I’m a massive oversharer and thankfully when I get chance to catch up with you all on the doorstep we have a good old natter and catch up and we love to share what’s going on with ourselves.

Often our paths cross because of cakes but there is a human behind this Page with a family and the everyday normal and not so normal things to deal with that take precedence and become the priority for a few days. My daughter finally got a surgery date and of course like any Mom, work is placed very much in the back seat.

However, I will respond to enquiries, and I will be posting and I definitely absolutely will still be baking beautiful cakes, it’s just that this Mom’s little (big) girl needs her a little more as she recovers, and (just for a moment) allows Mom to wrap her up in cotton wool like she used to 💕 always our babies

FAIR SWAP!?

My lovely sister in law has a little side craft and makes these gorgeous crystal bracelets. She wanted some cupcakes to treat her work colleagues and I had four spare so told her to have them! She said ok go and pick yourself a bracelet then, we’ll swap!

What do you do when the cookie jar is empty and it’s a quiet Thursday afternoon!?!
You make Viennese Whirls 😛

A little on the flat side but definitely have that swirl ontop and are perfectly crumbly.

I filled them with strawberry jam (I’ll use raspberry next time) and some vanilla buttercream.

I’ll maybe use a different piping nozzle next time and maybe refrigerate them a little before baking.

Anyway, first attempt and no soggy bottom, at least not on the biscuits anyway 🤣
