The Official Farewell Copy 💙

It’s a bittersweet day for team YGC. We’re officially saying goodbye to our absolute favorite, Monish. 😭
Due to visa issues, we’re having to part ways. We don‘t want him to leave, he doesn’t want to go, but life had other plans. 🥺

Monish joined us two years ago. Through all the highs and lows, the crazy lunch rushes, and everything in between, he’s been right there with us. The entire team adores him.

We’ll never forget one staff party when he got a little tipsy and told us, “No matter how hard I try, I’ll never be a proper Chinese chef because I’m Indian.” 🥺💔 Hearing that honestly broke our hearts.

But we want to scream this loud enough for the whole world to hear: “You absolute legend! It doesn‘t matter where you’re from—you are, and always will be, a true YGC chef.” 👨‍🍳🔥

(Please ignore the chaotic comments from our team, and yes, please ignore the photos of getting shirtless and passed out. We swear they are absolute professionals when they’re on the clock! 🫣😂)

雲貴川喺倫敦第三年啦。
三年前嘅今日——我哋無團隊，只有一雙手。

喺大雨中搬爐具、自己清理廚房，
由每一張枱凳、每一件餐具開始，
一步一步砌出今日嘅雲貴川。

多謝你哋由第一日開始嘅支持、意見，甚至網上不同嘅聲音，都令我哋成長。
喺呢個訊息萬千嘅年代，你哋願意留意、幫襯同留言，從來都唔係必然。

喺倫敦開店，現實從來唔簡單。
店舖被砸、裝修問題，好似變成咗常態。
好多朋友以為我哋幸免於難，
其實我哋只係冇多講。

三年來，我哋經歷過店舖被砸、偷竊、停電、漏水、各種問題。
難唔難？難，真係好難。
點樣過？過，一步一步咁走過。

無呢班伙記，就無今日嘅雲貴川。
希望日常忙碌之餘，呢度可以成為一個地方——
