The Chalet Coffee Bar The Chalet Coffee Bar has been situated at 68 Lowestoft Road since the 1960s. In September 2011 Colin suddenly passed away.

The Chalet Coffee Bar was established by Cilla and Alfie Barker in the 1960s, they then passed the business on to their son Colin Barker and his wife Ann. Ann was running the business with the help of her Daughter Tina until her passing on 1st Septmber 2022. Now Tina is running the business with reduced hours until further notice. The Chalet in the olden days used to have scooters and bike lined up outside before there was a pedestrian crossing to this day some of the characters still come to The Chalet. The Chalet would like to welcome all customers Old and New.

To all our customers. We will be shut on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Then back open again until New Years Eve and New Years Day. We look forward to seeing you during this festive period. The Chalet Team xx
