🦢 Did You Know? 🦢

Did you know the White Swan sits on North Quay, one of the oldest and most historic parts of Great Yarmouth? ⚓

For hundreds of years, this very stretch of quay was the heart of the town’s famous fishing industry. Boats once landed their catch right here, with herring, shellfish, and other seafood traded, cured, and sent across the country and Europe.

Great Yarmouth was once known as the herring capital of England, and North Quay would have been bustling with fishermen, merchants, and smokehouses.

Today, the White Swan proudly continues that tradition — serving seafood just steps from where it was landed generations ago.

Same quay. Same passion. Centuries of seafood history.
