Dear patrons,
This literally is our 100th draft, a draft we thought we might not post, but here we are…
We are writing to inform you of a significant transition that affects us here at The Creek.
We have sadly served our last meal & closed our doors.
It has been a pleasure serving our dishes to you our customers, who have become friends and family to us since 2014, almost 11 years ago, but it is time to sadly say our goodbyes.
We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. Due to multiple determining factors, we believe this is the best course of action for us not only as a business but more importantly, as a family.
When we embarked on our transition from born & bred Londoners to Colchester, it was done with a young family in mind. A 5 year old boy & 11 year old girl came to an area where they had never been before, with no friends or family close by.
Both who are now growing up & hope to shape their own futures.
Everyone here treasures the shared experiences with you all and appreciates your patronage greatly.
Maybe one day we will open our doors again, should circumstances allow.
Until then, we want you to know how much we valued you as customers.
Customers who shared their special days with us, birthdays anniversaries, weddings, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve or to celebrate a loved one who had departed.
We thoroughly appreciated your time with us, we hope you did too.
But these are unprecedented times, not just for us but for a lot of people.
Tough decisions needed to be made, protocols to be followed & therefore lots to organise.
We are thankful for your patience and understanding during the last 6/7 weeks of closure whilst we made these decisions.
We believe a few of you may have unspent gift vouchers.
If you are one of those, please get in touch via email & we will guide you in the correct course of action.
We are so sorry that unfortunately you won’t be able to dine with us.
Once again, we thank you for contributing to the memories we've made at The Creek.
