Owletts is a National Trust house and garden open to the public selected Sundays from April to September.

Given our links with the Bank of England, and our adopted emblem of the owl, we were delighted to hear that the Bank of England has chosen the barn owl to be one of the images on the new banknotes. It’s a slow process but we’re looking forward to seeing them in due course.

Thank you to everyone who came today; we had a record number of visitors! The new pin badges have been very popular so we’ll be bringing them back next year.
Thank you for bearing with us when the garden had to be closed for a while and we hope you still enjoyed your visit to the house.
Our doors are now closed for the winter, so watch this space early next year for our future open days.

EXCITING NEWS!
Our new special pin badges will be available this Sunday at our Heritage Open Day. This is the first time Owletts has had its own pin and what better design than Herbert Baker’s fabulous Empire Clock! These will be available for a minimum donation of £3, all proceeds going directly into the preservation of the house and garden. (Cash only)
Also Chris will be returning with his very popular talks: “Herbert Baker and the Bank of England”. He will be by the Bird Bath at half past each hour during opening hours.
Heritage Day: Sunday 13th September, 11am-3pm. Don’t miss our last open day this year!

Welcome to August everyone! Just to remind you that we have no open days this month, but we understand the building repairs are progressing well.
Our next open day will be September 13th, Heritage Day. Put this date in your diaries as entry will be FREE for everyone and we are launching something very special!

Don’t forget tomorrow(Sunday) is our last open day until September! Repairs and painting have begun and you will see scaffolding on the outside of the house but we are still open as usual from 11am -4pm.

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to visit yesterday, and especially the children from Cobham Primary School who were so well behaved and showed genuine interest in our lovely house.
We were privileged to see an extremely rare book, out from storage for just a few hours. Sir Herbert Baker’s own 1926 subscribers edition of Seven Pillars of Wisdom by TE Lawrence, so thank you to the NT conservation team who brought it for us to see.
Don’t forget our next open day is this Sunday, 7th June from 11-4pm. Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us!

Time to open our doors again for our Sunday Open Days! Owletts will be open this Sunday, 10th May, 11am to 4pm. Entry prices for this season have been frozen at £5 adult and £2.50 children, and NEW for this season you will be able to pay by text if you don’t have cash. NT members, of course, are free. We look forward to welcoming new and regular visitors this summer.

Thank you to everyone who visited today. We enjoyed our regular Bird Bath talks, as well as the visiting conservationists who are working their way through the book collection in the library.
