As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we thought it would be nice to support a local sports team! How great do these pitch covers look?!

Big news! The Jumble Room first opened its doors in March 1996, and to celebrate 30 years of food and fun, we will be trialing an extra night!
As of Wednesday 4th March, until the end of April, we will be open on Wednesday evenings in addition to our regular Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

We will now be able to make more memories, and spend more time catching up with our friends and customers of the last three decades. Some of you have been with us since the very start!

This extended opening may well continue in to the season, and we will be sure to keep you lovely lot notified as to when the diary will open up to Wednesday bookings further in to the year!

Hello all! We hope you all had a fantastic festive period! We’re now settling back in to our regular Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings after a great winter break, and an exceptionally busy new year! As January isn’t quite as busy as the rest of the year, we do have last minute tables available! If you’re planning a winter trip to Grasmere this month, get in touch!

Merry Christmas one and all, as usual, Me, Chrissy and the family wont be sending Christmas cards but instead we will be donating to a few charities instead, Macmillan and Shelter, however we've also decided to give to the very worthy cause below, as we've ridden there and its a local group that are struggling in the current climate, if you feel an urge too as well here's a link to their go-fund me page... once again... merry Christmas!!!!!

It has come to my attention that there is a website called Autoreserve that is taking bookings for the jumble room (WE DO NOT TAKE BOOKINGS THIS WAY ONLY BY PHONE) i think its a scam and a way of collecting your information, please be aware... i am currently trying to get it closed as we speak.. Hello All!
We're getting to that time of year again where everyone starts to think about Christmas (us included!) so i just wanted to put up a post about our opening times over December.

Our usual opening days all year round are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, sittings from 5pm - 9:30pm (4:30pm when its busy, and closed at 11pm)

Our last day we are open before we close for Christmas will be Saturday 29th November, reopening on Sunday 28th December and staying open for the 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, Closed on Thursday 1st January 2026, and open for the 2nd and 3rd January where we will then return to our usual Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

We are already pretty fully booked for New Years Eve, so please do get in touch if you're wanting a table.

I have the phone redirected to a personal mobile, any time, any day, so please don't worry about when you call, i always get your voicemails, even if i can take a day to get back to you. This also applies when i call you back, i promise i'm not some random cold caller!

Important announcement: open on Wednesday 7th May!
We will be shut from the 10th-21st of May for a mid-season break, however what we haven’t yet publicised, is that we will be open this Wednesday for our regular evening service! This is a great opportunity for you last minute bookers out there, as we essentially have a free diary, so be quick as we’ll fill up fast!

So we’re very honoured tonight to have had a phone call asking if Chrissy would like to be on master chef the professionals!! She politely declined as that would be far to frightening!! And how could she cope without her wonderful friend and side kick Carol…and the rest of the team at the jumble room …. It would appear that we’re having better weather in January than we had for the duration of summer ‘24!
It’s the perfect time of year for a bit of low altitude exploration, (or higher altitude if you have the gear and the knowledge to do it safely), and to enjoy the area whilst there’s less people here!
The added bonus, is that we’re open every weekend, Thursday-Saturday throughout January and February.
