Time for us to say farewell

18 years! Just wanted to say thanks to you for all the good memories and a special thanks to everyone who has helped us over the years. It is now time for us to move on to our next adventure. Winter Break
We will be taking some time out now to catch up with friends and family over December and January. Thanks to each and every one of our staff for their hard work over what has been another incredibly busy year. Thanks also to you our lovely customers for your support: it has been great to see you all and a real pleasure. We couldn't do it without you.
Our Christmas Cake made by Karen and decorated by Mia is available to win in the raffle at the Christmas Fair at Grasmere Village Hall 6th and 7th December; go and check it out if you're here that weekend

Let the baking begin....

Back open tomorrow after a few days enforced rest. Looking forward to being back and seeing you all over the weekend. We are open from 9.30am through to about 4pm serving breakfasts, lunches and ofcourse all our homemade treats Rob and Karen and all the team

Sorry still unable to get out of our road so will not open today.

Sorry we will not be open today. The roads around here are flooded and we cannot drive in to Grasmere. The "puddles" are a lot deeper than normal so if you are out and about take care and check the local media/social media.

It's cold outside!

Found a fledgling blue tit seeking a bit of warmth in our logburner at home. Eventually managed to return to its natural environment.
We will be back open at the cafe tomorrow but closed Thursday and Friday then back open on Saturday through to next Wednesday.
