Well, this is a bit exciting…

The Tour de France is coming to Grasmere and Stage 2 is passing right outside The Yan.

On Saturday 3 July 2027, the riders will leave Keswick and head south through the Lake District, passing Thirlmere, Grasmere, Rydal Water and Windermere before carrying on to Liverpool.

And yes, the route comes right past Broadrayne Farm. Not “near us”, not “somewhere in the Lakes”, but right past our door.

Given our years spent living and working in the French Alps, feeding hungry skiers, pouring wine and learning that big days outside deserve really good food at the end of them, this feels like one we were made for.

We are already plotting a proper Yan-style Tour weekend with French mountain food, raclette, race-day picnics, front-field viewing plans, bike-friendly stays, good wine and probably far more yellow than is strictly necessary.

Our Tour de France weekend packages and booking dates are not live just yet, but they will be coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

For now, we have pulled together the full blog with what we know so far, what we are planning and why this is going to be a very big weekend in Grasmere.
