We (Dipendra and Ratna) have made a small contribution of £500 to Nepal Prime Ministers Disaster Relief Fund to join hand with the government of Nepal to rescue, relief and rehabilitate the lifes of people affected by recent flood. We would like to try and do more of what we can so we can raise however much we can to give more support.
Although we are very thankful that our immediate family members are safe back home , we are feeling great sense of uneasiness seeing entire settlements being swept away by flood and landslide. So many people have lost multiple members of their families, their homes, their livestock and their livelihoods. Roads and bridges have been destroyed, cutting villages off from food, clean drinking water and medicine. Electricity, water supplies, telephone and internet connections have been severed. Hospitals are struggling and schools have closed. So so many families back home have lost absolutely everything and got no clue where to start.
Starting on Monday 7th of September we will open cafe from 9.30 till 11.30 to sell coffee's and cakes until last Monday of November. All proceedings will go to Disaster relief fund to Nepal. We are not asking for anything extra but if you feel like please come and have tea/coffee and cake on Mondays between 9.30 till 11.30 so any sales we do on that day will go to rebuild the lifes of families in Nepal. The coffee price is the same. We will only accept cash payments as all money raised goes towards relief fund. For 100 percent transparency we will maintain a diary during this coffee and cake sales where we will request you to write your name and amount paid . We hope to see you there. Thank you 🙏♡ 🇳🇵
