Dear all,

I felt great to be back to my own kitchen again after being away for two months.

I was planning to reopen my kitchen in mid November, but after coming back and seeing how the food cost in the supermarket have risen around 20% in two months, despite in the past months some food already risen around 10%, a bottle of propane gas risen around 30%, we also got notified the electricity could go up to from 20p per Kilowatt to 1 pound per Kilowatt, these prices really put me off continuing for this small home kitchen.

I really enjoy this little fun take away business in the past year and half, so shame I have to close this kitchen.

I would like to thank you all for your support in the past, and I have met the most polite and nicest people through this business in Goole and surrounding area.

Good evening, just to let everyone konw I will not be taking any orders from next week until mid of November. Joan's home kitchen will temporary closed for over a month.

Beautiful walk and rowing after dinner. Met a gentleman waiting for hours with his slide trombone for a very brave lady paddleboarding from Liverpool to Goole in five days👏 How romantic🌹😁

Home made Zongzi for dinner tonight😜
A traditional Chinese rice dish, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in grass or bamboo leaves.
This dish been around over two thousands years to celebrate the dragon boat festivals. Which happens in the same day with Queen's jubilee this year.😊
Chinese love to match each holiday with a specific food.😂
