It’s been an incredible 5 years at Natter- what a ride it’s been- but it’s time now to hand over the baton to Ruby. The legal bits will hopefully be finished off in a couple of weeks.
So some thank yous….
…to our wonderful staff of whom
we expect a lot tbh. It’s busy
(thank goodness) and often relentless and they work with such good grace and have been so supportive of the cafe and us and we have had some amazing laughs.
…to our lovely customers, many of whom feel like friends now- we never take your custom for granted -we are always aware that there are a lot of cafes in Godalming and we very much appreciate it when you choose us. We’ve had some shocking days when despite our best endeavours everything goes wrong and your compassion and understanding on these days has meant the world.
…. to our friends … we are hugely hugely blessed with the most fab friends on the planet. Hospitality life is relentlessly hard, especially when your business is open 7 days a week and you care so much about it and our friends have propped us up - having us for dinner after dinner when there was no chance of a return invite( I know we owe everyone a zillion meals). They’ve fixed hot plates, moved freezers, put shelves up, washed up at 5 minutes notice, picked up
sour dough many a time and just been there and loved us.
….to Sophie and Miles - we couldn’t love you anymore.
Nothing in life is perfect but we have tried fantastically hard to make our little Farncombe cafe a home from home. It will be just nice now to spend a bit more time in our actual home.

We are closed tomorrow( Sat) but open as usual on Sunday and Monday- how amazing is this knitted crown in Meadrow- does anybody know who made it? Love love love it! x
