IMPORTANT SAD UPDATE TO ALL CUSTOMERS.
Dear Three Lions/Scratchers Customers,
It is with great sadness that I must share the following news.
As many of you know, the pub has been closed for some time due to John Dennison, the former tenant, refusing to vacate the premises and squatting after his tenancy had ended. Despite repeated efforts, his removal was delayed until today, when the High Court Enforcement Officers finally carried it out.
Only once he was removed did the full extent of the damage become clear. The brewery themselves have confirmed they have never witnessed such extreme destruction, mess, and ruin in one of their pubs.
Faced with this situation, my wife Ann and I have made the difficult decision to walk away from the tenancy with immediate effect. Sadly, this means that all future band bookings are now cancelled, and the pub will be fully closed, boarded up, and undergoing a complete refurbishment. It may be some time before doors open again.
We know this is not the news you wanted to hear. Please believe me when I say it breaks our hearts, as we love this pub just as much as many of you do.
