Yes, we are open! Despite traffic and roadwork chaos the pub is open as usual from noon to 11ish (8pm on a Sunday), plenty of parking is still available at the large council car park next door and parking is free from 6.30pm.

Unlike most pubs we are locally owned, managed and not part of a large brewery group, and that is reflected in our prices, but we really need support few weeks as we go through a tough trading period in the next few weeks due to no fault of our own, and with little hope of compensation.

As ever, use, or lose, your local!

Fancy doing something a little different tonight? We're hosting a charity quiz night to raise money for quiz regular Candice Jade Hay, who is running the London Marathon on behalf of the Calvert Trust, a very worthy cause!

A chilled out quiz with guaranteed banter, starting at 8pm ish at the Mead Row.

"The Calvert Trust provides accessible outdoor adventure experiences for people with disabilities. Through fully adapted activities such as sailing, climbing, horse riding and canoeing, the charity enables individuals of all abilities to challenge themselves, build confidence, develop independence and experience the joy of adventure in a safe and supportive environment. Their work helps people overcome barriers to participation while promoting inclusion, wellbeing and personal achievement."

It's the return of the Mead Row pub quiz tonight at 8ish, £3 entry with a maximum of 6 per team. Half the money goes to the winning team, the rest to Shoot Stars Children's Hospices!

As ever you can bring in your own food or order a takeaway, come and join the fun!
