Not sure what to do with this almost-summer weather? 🌤️
Sun appears, disappears… and we just go with the flow.
Our advice: don’t trust the forecast — trust the focaccia!
Freshly prepared at Yew Tree Café every day:

We're looking for volunteers to join our friendly and welcoming team at the Café.
This opportunity could be perfect for:

🎨 Summer Through Watercolour
These workshops are not about perfection or artistic skill. They are about slowing down, exploring creativity, meeting lovely people, and allowing yourself to enjoy the process.
Art has a quiet way of healing us. It helps us reconnect with ourselves, express emotions without words, and bring more colour into everyday life.
This summer, we are so lucky to have two wonderful volunteers bringing creativity, warmth, and colour into our café through their art workshops. Both spent many years working in the corporate world and are now embracing a new chapter of life, rediscovering themselves through art while gently helping others do the same.
There is something truly special about being around them. Their energy is calm, kind, and inspiring — the kind of people who make the world feel softer, brighter, and a little more beautiful.
Whether you have painted many times before or have never picked up a brush, you are warmly welcome. 💚

A summer dream on a plate ☀️
Colourful tomatoes, yellow peppers, spring onions & cranberries — fresh, bright, and full of sunshine. Add our creamy hummus for a little extra substance (and a lot of happiness 😌).
And Ben added the final ingredient: good mood and a little bit of love
What could be better for a sunny Saturday lunch? Maybe only focaccia with goat cheese or mozzarella.

You asked, we heard ❤️
Ukrainian borscht is back on our menu!
We honestly thought we were ready to fully transition to our summer menu… but then we realised something important: true love for borscht doesn’t depend on the season, the weather, or even the day of the week 😊
Over the past few months, borscht has become one of the most beloved dishes at Yew Tree Cafe, and so many of you kept coming back for it that we just couldn’t say goodbye.
So we made one more — and possibly the last — batch before summer takes over completely ☀️Come and enjoy a bowl while it lasts!
Served the traditional way: with sour cream and garlic bread 🥣

And for those already in full summer mode — we also have a delicious combination of fresh salad and hummus 😊

Summer Half Term is here 26-29 May☀️
