The Clean Plate is opening with a fresh new look this Saturday!

With generous funding from Severn Trent, we've been busy renovating our beloved cafe in to a more vibrant, welcoming and bright space for our recovery community and the people of Gloucester to enjoy.

We're sending one big thank you to Severn Trent Water for the opportunity to refresh The Clean Plate ahead of what we're expecting to be a busy Summer, and we hope to see many faces, new and old, joining us this Saturday for the reopening!

The Clean Plate is now closed for a month of renovations! 📣

Exciting stuff is happening at The Clean Plate this Spring and we can’t wait to share the new space with you all. That does unfortunately mean closing its doors temporarily as we get busy under way creating a new and vibrant space.

Good Morning Gloucester ✨️

Just a reminder 😁

Every Saturday morning people in 12 step recovery gather in our upstairs meeting room, enjoy a breakfast and write stepwork.

This is an informal gathering, the session isn't led by anyone, it's a group of like minded people making an investment into their spiritual growth on a regular basis whilst enjoying one of our fantastic breakfasts!

The cafe is also open to the community every Saturday from 10am-2pm

Dear friends,

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual Recovery Community Christmas Party at The Clean Plate this year on Friday the 16th of December. This is event is free to the recovery community but for insurance purposes it is a ticketed event. Tickets are available either at the Clean Plate or Gloucester Women's Centre in Brunswick Square. Please RSVP to the mobile number on the poster. Children and family welcome! Hopefully see you there :-)

Our thoughts and sympathies are very much with the families affected by this long running, tragic story.

As soon as we were made aware of the situation, we have done everything we can to accommodate the investigation. The Clean Plate will remain closed until all necessary activity is complete.

It is an extraordinary twist of fate that this building, now associated with a story as tragic as that of the victims of Fred and Rosemary West, is part of a charity working to support women at risk from violence.

At The Nelson Trust, we work hard to support women who have experienced violence so they can have a life of security, away from the stress and trauma that violence causes to its victims and survivors.

From our Women’s Centre in Gloucester, we support women who experience multiple and complex needs, the women and girls who sadly, are often most vulnerable to experiencing sexual and other forms of violence.
