A fun 'Pub Treasure Hunt' is taking place in Glossop on Sunday 30th August, with all entry donations going to support Willow Wood Hospice.

The adventure will start and finish at The Star on Howard Street in Glossop, with participants visiting five local pubs along the way - The Star, The Commercial, Prince of Wales, The Friendship and Norfolk Arms. At each stop, teams will need to solve clues before moving on to the next venue.

There will also be prizes up for grabs, as well as a raffle featuring a £40 La Corrente restaurant voucher. Wine and beer tokens are also among the prizes.

The treasure hunt starts at 1pm, with the results announced at 5pm.

So gather your friends, put your thinking caps on and enjoy an afternoon of clues, pubs and fun – all while supporting a fantastic local cause!

We’re completely full for camping this weekend, so unfortunately we don’t want anyone turning up disappointed looking for a pitch. If you haven’t booked, please don’t make the journey expecting camping to be available.

We’ll still be open as normal for visitors, food & drinks — so come and see us! 🍕🍻

Busy weekend at Crossgate! 🍕

Cheers to everyone who came up this weekend, whether you came for food, a drink or to camp with us. We really appreciate all the support!

This weekend’s photos feature our Hot Honey Goats’ Cheese Pizza topped with hot honey, olives, rocket & Parmesan, our classic Margherita finished with fresh basil, and our Ploughman’s Lunch served with local cheeses, pork pie, fresh bread, pickled onions, salad and chutney.

We’re back open Thursday–Sunday!

🥓 Breakfast: 9:30am–12pm (Thursday–Sunday)
🥪 Lunch: 12pm–3pm (Thursday–Sunday)
🍕 Stone-baked pizzas: Friday & Saturday evenings, and sometimes Sunday lunchtime too.

Everyone’s welcome – you don’t have to be staying on the campsite. Whether you’re out walking, cycling, horse riding, or just fancy a drive out into the countryside, pop in and see us for breakfast, lunch, a coffee, a pint or a pizza.

We honestly feel so lucky to call this place home, and we love sharing it with all of you.

☕🍻 The Cow Shed Café & Bar open Thursday–Sunday, serving breakfasts, lunches, homemade desserts, stone-baked pizzas, classic beers on draft, wines, spirits, hot drinks and more.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Tintwistle Reservoir & Fishery right on our doorstep – perfect for fly fishing 🎣.

Fancy exploring? We’re just a few minutes from Hadfield, with some fantastic independent cafés, pubs and restaurants if you don’t fancy dining with us every night 😉.

If walking is more your thing, we have four beautiful reservoirs, all within a 10-minute drive of each other, each offering incredible scenery and some of the best walks around.

We really are so grateful to live here and to be able to share this little corner of Derbyshire with you all. We hope everyone who visits enjoys it just as much as we do. 💚
