🌸It might just look like a pretty class, but behind it, lots of planning and prep goes into the themes and how to ensure there’s progress through each of the developmental stages.🌸

🧚✨Enchanted forest week focused on:- ✨🧚

✨Cause and effect + purposeful movement
🧚discovering “I do something → something happens” through lights, musical stepping stones, instruments etc
✨reaching/pressing/hitting/shaking
🧚balance and movement
✨rhythm and changing speed
🧚imaginative/sequential play for older children
✨and intentional excited → calm regulation.

We have one more week of the current block and then our NEW BLOCK BEGINS! I can’t wait for you to see the next themes 😍✨

✨ A little bit of Little Lilacs magic… 🌸

This week our Little Lilacs babies and toddlers stepped into our 🧚Enchanted Forest🧚to search for fairies!

Each week at Little Lilacs is carefully planned around a new sensory theme, with activities adapted to suit each stage of development, from our littlest babies discovering light, sound and texture, to our movers exploring, creating, climbing, dancing and making things happen!

Our next Little Lilacs block is now open for bookings 🪻

🌱 Buds is for our youngest babies, sweet gentle class with a focus on bonding
🌸Sweet Peas is for our younger babies who aren’t on the move quite yet but are sitting and exploring more
💐Wildflowers is for our wrigglers and emerging movers and crawlers
🌻 Sunflowers is for our confident movers and walkers
🌷Baby massage is also now available to book

Week one of classes is complete 😍 we had so much fun exploring colours! The sweet peas taught me a lesson in making better sensory bags and the sunflowers imaginations were incredible! If the thought of taking your baby to a class makes you feel a little nervous, I hope this makes you feel a little better….

I remember being a brand new mum (10 years ago 🥹) and finding baby classes completely overwhelming.
Big groups, strict timings, feeling like everyone else somehow knew what they were doing… I’m pretty sure I was physically there, but mentally somewhere else entirely.

Little Lilacs has been created to feel like the opposite of that.

🪻Small groups.
🌸A calm, welcoming space.
🌱No pressure to arrive with a perfectly settled baby.
🌻No expectation that your little one will lie happily for the whole session.
💐Feeding, crying, cuddles, nappy changes, sleeping through half the class, all absolutely fine.

You can take your time. You can ask questions. You can just sit for a minute if that’s what you need.

Baby Massage is of course about learning lovely techniques but it’s also about connection, confidence and having a gentle little moment for you and your little one to really embrace the early days.

And hearing past mums describe Little Lilacs as cosy, calming, welcoming, flexible and something that helped build their confidence means more to me than I can really say. 🥹💜

Sunflowers is full of active, hands-on play — with movement, messy fun, scooping, pouring, building, exploring and simple little challenges that encourage confidence, curiosity and independence.

Plenty of freedom to move, investigate and get thoroughly stuck in. 😂

Wildflowers is a more active sensory class, with plenty of movement, messy play, music, textures and hands-on discovery. Little ones are free to explore at their own pace, move between activities and get thoroughly stuck in!
