Introducing our new ‘pay it forward’ scheme!🥳

We understand that life can throw some curveballs that can put people in difficult situations, we wanted to introduce a pay it forward scheme to help individuals in our community who may be struggling financially or with their mental health to be able to still come and enjoy a nice drink, or sandwich on the kindness of strangers in the community.

If your in buying a coffee, cake or sandwich - please consider buying a pay it forward drink or sandwich!

The pay it forward drinks are £3.50 - flat rate - and whoever uses the token can get whatever drink of there choice, if the cost of there drink comes to more than £3.50 - we will cover the rest☺️
Pay it forward Sandwiches are £5 🫶🏻

If you or someone you know, need to use a pay it forward voucher - the Pin board is by the front door and so all you need to do is take a token off the pin board if there are any available and bring it up to the counter and place your order - no questions asked 🤍

Happy Friday!! Kick start your weekend with a trip to Roots - we have our late night opening tonight with us being open until 9PM!

We often get a lot of questions about Matcha and so I thought I’d share some fun facts!
- Matcha is made from Green tea leaf
- it contains both caffeine and L-theanine which this combo helps a create a calming energy rather than a typical caffeine rush which coffee can give you!
- Matcha has been around for centuries and historically has been used in ceremonial practice throughout Japan!

It’s a unique flavour which can take some getting used too however we have some fun syrups to add a little sweet touch to your drink!🫶🏻🤘🏻

As mentioned previously- we are going to start doing a weekly sandwich special which will be different every week from our staple 4 sandwiches!

🚨New flavour alert🚨
There’s a new kid on the block 👀 not only do we have our usual chocolate chip cookies - we’ve tried out these pistachio filled chocolate cookies - freshly baked!🤤 don’t walk ➡️ Run!

We may need to make another batch of these because they taste so good🤤

Happy Monday! Can you believe we’ve been open for 3 weeks now?!

I thought it was about time I did a little post giving a wee shout out to the suppliers that we collab with on a regular basis but also those who helped get Roots to the point of what is it! Swipe to see some of the suppliers!

First shout out is who we teamed up with right before opening and are a dream to work with! They supply our house blend and as you can see from the photo - we think our custom bean bags look pretty awesome!

Next up we have the lovely who have also been incredible to work with! As much as I would love to be able to do all the baking in house myself - it would be near enough impossible for that to happen currently with it just being Luke and I working in Roots currently and so we usually get a couple of options from Jam and sprinkles each week to help top us up! And by how fast the bakes fly out the door - I think you guys enjoy them just as much as we do!

Then we have - so beau bags is actually my mum! She is the one who makes our homemade Roots chilli jam which we sell in store and use on our Jammin melt sandwich! However she also makes and sells bags! We now stock some of her bags in store to buy but she also takes commissions - super talented and super thankful!

And last but certainly not least is .cabins - so this is my friends Art page, Mary is from Ohio and I’ve known her for around 10 years now! She is an incredible artist and was the one who created our awesome Roots logo which is the first thing everyone notices when they pay us a visit! So insanely talented and passionate about what she does!🫶🏻

We are and forever will be so thankful for our suppliers and think they are all pretty awesome in their own way! It would be great if you could check them out and give them some support!🫶🏻🤘🏻

Happy Friday folks!

We’ve had quite a few people ask what type of sandwiches we have so I thought I’d do a lil post with our sandwich menu! All sandwiches are £5 and can be done sit in or takeaway and come with some crisps on the side🤤

Our sandwiches are available 11-3 everyday and occasionally if we have extra stock or have been quieter we will extend that throughout the day but will post on our stories if this is the case!

We are looking to hopefully add in a “special sandwich of the week” which we will change weekly but we are still getting on our feet so until then this will be our menu! If you have any sandwich suggestions you’d like to see - comment down below and I’ll see what we can do!

We are open 9-9 tonight and look forward to seeing everyone to kick start their weekend!🤘🏻🫶🏻
