I have recently found out that Mr Ali's grandson is still in the restaurant business, at the Yasmin in Girvan. I hope to pay a visit in the near future!

When 2 of more Glasgow Uni students are gathered together, they shall reminisce about "The Shal". Please post your photos and memories about this fantastic restaurant, which was owned by Mr Ali from 1973-2002.
