YELLOW WEATHER WARNING - STORM AMY

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for heavy rain that covers the East Dunbartonshire Council area from 12pm tomorrow (Friday 3 October) to 3pm on Saturday 4 October.
A Yellow Weather Warning has also been issued for strong winds that could impact East Dunbartonshire from 3pm on Friday until 11pm on Saturday.
The rain and wind will bring difficult driving conditions, such as reduced visibility, surface water and bridge restrictions, and are also likely to impact ferry, air and rail travel.

Stor Eowym Update:

🌳 We have lost 67 trees due to Storm Eowyn and over the next 2 to 3 weeks we will be working with our contracted tree management company to undertake the works to clearing the paths.

We will begin on Thursday 6 February to clear the Pheasants’ Wood area, from which we will progress to the Main Avenue, and then to Gallowhill.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we deal with the considerable damage that we have experienced.

Update from Mugdock 25/1/23 at 11.45am -

Mugdock Country Park main centre car park and Visitor Centre are now OPEN! Spider Monkey Roasters, Stables tearoom and Mugdock Makkers Art and Craft Gallery are all waiting to welcome you.

Caulders will remain closed today.

UPDATE: Thursday 23rd January 16.10pm

The Met Office has updated the weather warning to a red alert on Friday. The Scottish Government has advised that Police Scotland has issued a formal do not travel notice.
All Mugdock Country Park Council buildings and carparks will be closed within the park tomorrow.

Are you coming to Mugdock this weekend?

Please be aware that there is extreme weather warnings in place for adverse weather in the local area from Friday 24th January continuing throughout the weekend.

🌳- We advise visitors to be cautious while out in the park as you may experience fallen branches and debris on the paths.
🌬- Friday is looking exceptionally windy
🌨- Sleety/snow is forecasted for Saturday
