A year ago, Zaika Taal opened its doors.

Since then, we’ve watched the tables fill, the kitchen get busier, familiar faces become regulars and new ones walk through the door for the first time.

And behind it all has been a team that has grown with us.

Not everyone could be in this photo, but every person who has been part of Zaika Taal over the past year has played their part. Some from the very first day, others who joined us along the way.

What started as an idea, a kitchen and a love for Indian food has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of. But more than anything, it’s the people who have made this first year so special.

Every table you’ve shared with us. Every dish you’ve ordered. Every kind word, review, recommendation and return visit. Every time you’ve chosen to spend an evening with us.

We genuinely cannot thank you enough.

When the chef says “a little flame”… this is apparently what they mean. 🔥

Food, fire and a bit of theatre at Zaika Taal.

There’s nothing quite like that moment when the flames go up and the kitchen suddenly becomes the main event. It’s fast, it’s dramatic and, most importantly, it’s all part of making dinner a little more memorable.

Good food should taste great. But if it puts on a show while it’s getting there, we’re certainly not complaining.
