Proud manager moment this Friday. ☕🎉

Sophie and Tyler have both passed their Coffee and Drinks module thos week — and this is one of the hardest and most important modules in the entire programme. It demands precision, consistency, knowledge and real skill. They didn't just pass. They absolutely nailed it.

These two young women have shown up every single day with an attitude and determination that honestly puts many seasoned professionals to shame.

I'm not just proud of what they achieved — I am proud of who they are.

Wee appreciation post 😍

Here is the truth about hospitality that nobody talks about. People work in cafés for years and are never once properly trained. Bad habits become normal. Corners get cut. Standards are never set. That is not their fault. That is a training problem. And it is everywhere.

At the same time, bright young people who are desperate to work can’t get a chance because they have no experience on a CV. So they can’t get experience. Round and round it goes.

So I decided to do something about both.

I built a full professional training programme for Cafe Lona from scratch and gave two young people with no experience their first proper chance. Just brilliant attitudes and a willingness to learn.

Here is where they are right now:

✅ Daily Cleaning Schedule
✅ Food Temperature Control
✅ Customer Service Standards
✅ Coffee & Drinks ☕

Totalling 10 modules.

Tyler Coney and Sophie Grubb haven’t finished yet. But honestly? You would never know it. 🙌 ( but will be very soon. )

They are absolutely smashing it. Every. Single. Day. Customers love them. The standards are brilliant. They walk in ready to go and they give everything they have got. I could not be more proud of the two of them if I tried.

Confidence through the roof. Buzzing every single day. Taking pride in everything they do. That is what proper training does.

🎄✨ Don't miss Share Scotland's Christmas Fayre this Saturday! ✨🎄
Head down to Ibrox Library from 12pm-2pm on Saturday 6th December for a brilliant afternoon of festive fun!
