Disappointed but Determined 💔
After 3.5 years of supplying our biggest wholesale client (a very big company) , I was shocked and disappointed that they cut us off as a supplier and stopped ordering from me without any prior notice, even when I never let them down in the time working together.
Forecasting stock based on previous purchasing, I bought £8,000 of stock for their supply and their incredible decision has left me in a tough situation, with this debt that I now have to cover out of my own pocket.
Although I made the tough decision to close both cafes in Glasgow due to market conditions, it was communicated that we would continue to supply wholesale.
As a business that values integrity, I believe in standing by the people who depend on my products – especially the coffee farmers who count on fair payment. Walking away from them is simply not an option, no matter the circumstances.
While this experience has been a challenging one, I’m staying focused on moving forward.
