A day off to chill today, the problem with getting up early on most days is that you are wide awake at 5am on your day off.
All my housework and 2 washings done before 8am. Who said over 50's lead boring lives?

I've been asked multiple times over the last few days ' How are things going?'

I'm definitely NOT a serial dater, so the dating profile has been deleted, currently I'm 'off the market'. Sorry to the couple of ladies that kindly messaged the page to say they would be up for a date if it did not work out. ❤️

Very early days so enjoying a bit of non work related company, loads of laughs and some good conversation, I believe the feeling is mutual.

We both work non standard shifts so planning our days off in advance to get some time together is where it's at.

I've got that wee excited feeling which feels strange aged 53 but hey, here we are, just going with flow. 😀

Feedback from a customer

In the early days of Rice n Spicy we used to call them the 90-mile curries, as that was the round trip to go and stock up on some excellent heat-at-home scoff. Totally worth it, and a good excuse to go visit the upper Clyde valley.

Thankfully, a few months later, they started going to markets in Clackmannanshire, which were a good bit closer to us.

Having since moved back to the Hebrides, I was delighted to find that Rashed Ghani had agreed to a partnership deal with his (and my) black pudding supplier, Macleod & Macleod Butchers

The only pedantic criticism that I could give: we really miss those little soft breads that we used to get in the early days. But totally understand why they were stopped when he explained just how much work was involved in making them.
They were very tasty though. 😋😋

We'll always be happy to see a couple of Rice n Spicy tubs in our fridge or freezer though.

Good morning from Spicy HQ, another long shift ahead. Wishing Sophia the best of luck on her first day in the NHS and Zara on her first day back at Uni. Meanwhile dad is going to be drowning in curry!
