A print exhibition of abstract photographic compositions,
captured from the surfaces of boats around the UK.
Found in varying states of refurbishment, after being exposed to the sea and the elements, each boats weathered hull offers painterly compositions to the eye, lost forever after each boat is restored, ready for the sea, scrapes and scratches, paint and textures to combine and etch
more tales from future voyages.
Hoping this exhibition brings a fresh look at part of our island life, the sea and the labour of nature and man vying to win and inspires the act of looking sideways, deeper and beyond the surface.

We are looking to hire a Cafe Supervisor. The position offers around 40hrs a week worked over 5 days. The shifts are day time only, but will include weekends.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment while delivering great customer service. You will be responsible for assisting the manager in the running of the cafe.

Experience is required as the right person will hit the ground running.

We are offering £9.75 per hour, for the right candidate. Plus daily tips coffee & food on duty and discounts for family.

A new exhibition in the cafe :-

Kate McAllan is an artist and writer living and working in Glasgow. Her work explores the layers of meaning associated with moments and place.

This collection of oil paintings were produced last year from her flat in Shawlands. They form a narrative about memory and the dream-like quality that a moment may begin to develop through re-collection. Images of pale beaches are interspersed with more domestic scenes - the changing light of an interior. Individually they are windows into a fleeting moment. Together they tell a story about time.
