spent two years in Korea, grazing on street food delights and perfecting our kimchi recipe. Starting off as a street food stall and pop-up restaurant in London between 2011 - 2013, Kimchi Cult are now serving up Korean style fast food from a take away in Glasgow.

We at Kimchi Cult are throwing our support behind the campaign spearheaded by to reduce hospitality VAT to 10% 👊

The UK has the second highest rate of VAT in Europe, and it’s bleeding our industry dry. 🩸

The last 5 years have seen unprecedented rises in the cost of doing business - many businesses are surviving solely because of the blood, sweat and tears of the people behind them. 🤷‍♂️

We’ve always worked hard - that’s how we’re built - but all the stress, hours, and time missed with family needs to be worth more than razor thin margins, paying ourselves the bare minimum and living with the constant anxiety of where the next big bill is going to put us.

The figures are in and we can’t ignore them - Spice Boxes are now on the permanent menu!

Since we launched our Kimchi Cult Spice Bags on St Patrick’s day we’ve been overwhelmed with how popular they’ve been.

As such we’ve made the not-very-difficult-decision to keep Spice Boxes on our menu for the foreseeable future.

One minor change we’ve made however is a switch from “bag” to “box” format - the product holds better plus the bags were way too fiddly to deal with during a busy service! 😂
