The Waterloo Bar is now able to provide the funeral details for Alison our much loved manageress. The family have asked that prior to her funeral Alison be brought by the funeral directors to the Waterloo Bar in the funeral hearse so that everyone who loved her, who cannot attend the funeral can say goodbye to her. The hearse will stop outside the pub on Thursday 25th June at 8pm, where anyone who wishes to can say their goodbyes. Itās a fitting tribute that the hearse will stop at the pub as many relationships she had with our community were formed right here in this pub. Graham Cole, Alisonās friend, has agreed to support this, and will be on hand throughout this tribute to provide support and help co-ordinate the familyās wishes for this to happen
Alison spent nearly thirty years of her life providing support to the community as a steadfast ally, helping others in a discreet way, that she never shared with anyone, aside from those who received that much needed love and support. The funeral will take place on Friday the 26th June at 12.45pm at Daldowie Crematorium, in the west chapel. After the funeral the pub would like to pay tribute to Alison and invite everyone back to the pub for an opportunity for people to share their anecdotes and experiences with Alison over the years. Food will be provided. Everyone is welcome.
Alison will be missed by all who knew her and the team who worked with her over the years. Our hearts will never be the same again
The funeral arrangements are currently being managed by Steven Whitelaw & Katrina Trimble, Alexander Whitelaw & Co, 235a Forrest Street, Clarkston, Airdrie ML67AY should anyone wish to send flowers.
