We’re often asked if we still host funeral receptions at The Sandmyle and yes, we do.

We know that after saying goodbye, sometimes what’s needed is a comfortable, welcoming place where family and friends can come together, share stories and spend time with one another.

Our team can help keep everything straightforward, with a private space, food and refreshments taken care of.

If you’re making arrangements for a loved one, please get in touch and we’ll talk you through the options.

Dating back to 1897 this building started life as Waverley Lodge before later becoming The Sandmyle Hotel first time round.

For many The Sandmyle also brings back memories of summer drinks outside at a time when al fresco drinking in the East End wasn't exactly easy to come by!

More than 125 years later,The Sandmyle name is back and a new chapter begins.
