Some Fun Facts about Corn 🌽

1. It was first cultivated 9,000 years ago in present-day southern Mexico and Central America

2. An average ear of corn has about 83 calories.

3. Sweet corn is a good source of folate and contains fibre, vitamin C, niacin (or vitamin B3, which helps the body use fats and proteins) and thiamine (or vitamin B1, which is similar to vitamin B3, but can also help with digestive problems).

4. While Cooking: Forget the salt and don't add sugar either while you're boiling it -– both will make your corn tough.
