Speaking of dish of the day, today we have LASAGNA with mushrooms.
Italian kitchen has developed through centuries of change, with recipes that extend since ancient times and have been perfected over time.
Lasagna is an old italian type of flat pasta, developed during the middle ages, in the 14th century, in the city of Naples.
At first, according to the italian cookbook, lasagna was made mainly with tomato sauce, but later on the tradition changed, changing the name too in "lasagna di Carnevale" which was introduced by the city of Naples, made of local sausage, fried meatballs, hard-boiled eggs, ricotta or mozzarella and Neapolitan ragù.
Over time new changes were made to the lasagna, based on the place where it was prepared.
Such as the most famous lasagna, produced in Emilia Romagna, known as "Lasagna al forno".
