Huge thank you to the 2 lads passing the shop earlier and to my neighbours who stopped one of the local smack rats ransacking my van while I was putting stuff in the chiller.

I always lock myself in when it gets dark, but this was daylight, around 8pm. He’d also been snooping in the shop.

I am so grateful there’s still some amazing people in the world that will challenge these scum bags!!

This weekend is a little busier,

Hebburn Food Market on Saturday 10-2
It’s set to be rather warm so will be taking spare cold boxes and ice if you want to buy your cakes and collect at the end.

Sheepfolds Stables 10-3 and Newcastle Quayside Sunday Market 9-4 both on Sunday,
Again if it’s warm we’ll take extra boxes and ice.

Also don’t be put off if the display is a bit bare, we can’t pile cakes out if it’s a food safety risk, while they do sit in ice on the table if the sun is directly on the cakes it’s a no go, but we will have plenty stock staying nice and chilled behind the tables and we’ll serve from the cool boxes.

I can’t remember when we started attending Saltburn Food Festival but it’s been at least 12 years, and it gets better every single time!!!

This year is looking like another amazing day full of the best small northern food business!!!
Im ordering the stickers next week so it’s your chance to tell me what flavours you want to see this year!!!!

We will be bringing 8 biscuit base, 4 cake/brownie base, 4 Gluten Free and 4 vegan options, so let me know in the comments if there’s anything in particular you want to see this year and tag anyone your coming to the festival with so they can also vote for their favourites!!

This weekend we’re back in Stokesley on Saturday with Northern Dales Farmers' Markets from 9-1.30 with some beltas like Wrefords' Farm Eye Spy Pie Laceys Cheese The Clucking Pig Company and loads more I can’t find to tag 😂😂😂

Then Sunday we’re back on Newcastle Quayside Sunday Market from 9-4 opposite the slug and lettuce pub, with our neighbours The Yolker (NEW monthly egg alert!!!) and other legends of the NE food scene like Acropolis Street Food Redhead's Mac 'N' Cheese copper.ricebox geordiebangers Le Mini Macaron safarishack1 Sprinkled
Weather looks perfect, not too windy & not too hot.

With plans underway to get the shop back open now things are settling down at home I’m looking for quotes to get the garden back to its former glory.
Grass cut, weeds removed, flower bed tidied up (there’s new trees popping up that shouldn’t be there and it’s being taken over by raspberries 😂). Probably need some TLC to the grass once we can see the damage underneath.
Would need to be licenced for removing the garden waste as well.
If anyone has space in the next couple of weeks can you message the page with when you’re available to see the job and give me a price please.

If anyone going along Durham Road in LowFell has found a bracelet similar to this can you give me a shout please. It was originally 2 tone but most of the gold colour had worn away.
In terms of cash value it’s worthless, it’s one of those cheap steel magnetic ones that’s supposed to help with arthritis but doesn’t 😂😂
I wouldn’t be bothered if it wasn’t my dads, as many of you know he has dementia so this is purely sentimental, I’ve been wearing it for a while but sometime between yesterday morning and this morning it’s fell off my arm.
