Autumn has just quietly crept up on me this year. One minute everything felt like late summer, and then suddenly I’m noticing crisp leaves gathering along the paths, a gentle coolness in the air, and those cosy autumn colours appearing all around. And as for the gorgeous little fungi popping up in the grass like tiny fairy houses — it all feels wonderfully whimsical, as if we’re already edging towards Christmas. I always imagine fairies slipping between the fungi and the trees when I’m not looking.

So, with the changing season we have some special winter offers and fresh new menus which are nearly ready to go — Xav and Jonathan are just tweaking the last few bits, so do keep an eye on this page for them being announced.

🐥🐥🐥 It’s the last day of Gala Week, and we’re finishing with a quacker of a day in The Ship Inn Garden!

Pick up your numbered duck from the garden — choose your lucky number and get ready to race.

Food and drinks flowing all day, sunshine (hopefully), and entertainment kicking off at 1pm.
Come cheer on your ducks — or laugh as they take absolutely no notice of the finish line.🍻🍷🍕🍔🐥🐥🐥
