A little Pick Your Own update 🍓🌿
We know lots of you are wondering when our PYO Farm will be opening again, so we wanted to share a little update from the fields.
At the moment, we’re in a bit of a natural lull between crops. Our first strawberry crop has now come to an end, and we’re waiting to see what the second crop brings. At this stage, we’re not sure whether there will be enough fruit for us to open the fields again for picking, but we’ll keep a close eye on the plants over the coming weeks.
As always, we’ll only open when there are plenty of strawberries ready to pick and a good experience to be had — we don’t want anyone travelling to find empty plants! 🍓
Many of our raspberry plants were newly planted this year and need a little more time to establish, so sadly haven’t produced enough fruit this year for us to open them for Pick Your Own.
The good news is that we do have a small amount of delicious, ready-picked raspberries ripening, which we have available in the Farm Shop when there are enough to harvest. 🍇
We know it’s disappointing when the PYO fields aren’t open, but this is all part of growing seasonal produce and farming — sometimes nature gives us a little gap while we wait for the next crop to arrive!
We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more. Thank you, as always, for your patience and for supporting our farm. 💚
