⚡🍺 GOOD NEWS FOLKS… WE HAVE POWER! 🍺⚡

Well, you lovely lot, the lights are back on at The Crusader! 🎉🙌

Unfortunately, the power cut has left us with a little headache! 🤦‍♀️ Our tills and card machines in the main bar are still not working!

But don’t panic… it takes more than a power cut to stop us serving you lovely lot! 😂🍻

🍺 WE ARE OPEN AS NORMAL! 🍺

👉 All drinks will be served from the TAP ROOM ONLY for the rest of today.

We apologise for any inconvenience and really appreciate your patience and understanding while we get everything back up and running.

The power might have knocked us down for a few hours, but it certainly hasn’t knocked out our Crusader spirit! 😂❤️

🚨⚡ CUSTOMER NOTICE – POWER CUT IN GARFORTH ⚡🚨

Good morning, you lovely lot! ❤️🍻

As many of you are already aware, parts of Garforth have been affected by a power cut this morning.

⚡ We have been advised that power is expected to be restored between 2:30pm and 3:30pm today, although this may change.

🍺 BUT DON’T PANIC – THE CRUSADER IS STILL OPEN! 🍺

We’re not letting a little power cut stop us from opening our doors and welcoming our lovely community! ❤️

💷 CASH PAYMENTS ONLY – Unfortunately, we cannot accept card payments until the electricity is restored.

🚨 Our emergency lighting is on.

If you’re sitting at home without electricity, please don’t sit there alone!

Come down to The Crusader, enjoy a little company and have a good old natter. You don’t have to buy a drink – you’re more than welcome to just come in and spend some time with us. ❤️

After all, that’s what being a community pub is all about – looking after one another! 🥰

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the power cut. Unfortunately, it’s completely out of our control, but we’ll do everything we can to keep things running safely and smoothly.

⚠️ A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM LYNN & THE CRUSADER TEAM ⚠️

Firstly, I want to personally say how deeply sorry I am to the families and children who were enjoying our b**r garden when a firework was set off.

Our b**r garden should be somewhere you can sit, relax, have a drink and enjoy time with your family without something like this happening.

As a mum and a nanny myself, I completely understand how frightening and upsetting it must have been, especially for the little ones who were happily playing at the time. ❤️

Please know that I take what happened extremely seriously.

The Crusader does NOT allow fireworks anywhere on our premises, and setting one off in a busy b**r garden where children and families are present is completely unacceptable.

We have checked our CCTV, the individual responsible has been identified and they have been barred from The Crusader.

I am genuinely sorry that this happened while you were visiting us. I never want anyone to feel unsafe at The Crusader, and I certainly never want parents to have to worry about the safety of their children while spending time here.

Going forward, anyone found bringing fireworks onto our premises or attempting to set them off will be asked to leave immediately and will risk being permanently barred.

To the families affected tonight, please accept my sincere personal apology. ❤️
