Well it’s been a hot minute since I posted on here - mainly because I’ve managed to deactivate the Instagram account associated with Affogato Joe’s!!
Anyway - you’ll have noticed a change - we are no longer serving hot food and no longer have a sit in area. We have however bought No.31 Bank Street and knocked through.
Affogato Joe’s is now part of the smaller Winter Spring Summer & Fall shop.

We are still proudly serving coffee by our local roastery (also on Bank Street) Luckie Beans - a double shot espresso of their delicious Love Lane Blend, we also have decaf available.

We are also now stocking and serving Tiree Tea - their range of herbal infusions and calming blends brings a bit of island life to us here in the Borders.

Giacopazzi’s of Eyemouth have been supplying us Borderers for over 100 years with their famous recipe gelato - still in the same family - Giacopazzi’s use all the good stuff in making their products with their fruit purees coming directly from Italy, we get a little seaside magic too.
We stock all the favourites as well as a lactose free options with their award winning sorbets and vegan ice cream. We’ve also recently introduced their Pup Cups - perfect for pooches.

The boys round in Channel Street at Bulldog Bakehouse have been sending us a steady stream of their most delicious offerings by way of their massively popular blondies and brownies. The perfect accompaniment to your morning cuppa.

• Thickshakes - 3 scoops of ice cream blended with milk is just the best, most wholesome thing you’ll get!
• Hot Chocolate - add some marshmallows and make it truly special - we use hot chocolate from The Real Hot Chocolate Company in Dunfermaline. Their luxury powder makes the most silky yet bubbly chocolaty tasting drink. It is also dairy free.
• Cold drinks - a selection of cold drinks including Little Ricks - 32mg CBD drink in 4 flavours.
• Coolers - fancy an ice cold drink - we have different coolers available to make refreshing cold drinks - just add sunshine 😅.
Last but not least our name sake -

- literal translation is gelato drowned in coffee - traditionally vanilla - but you may choose your favourite flavour and add a double shot espresso for the perfect creamy melting treat.
Affogato Joe’s is open in Winter Spring Summer and Fall at No.30-31 Bank Street, Galashiels - our current opening times are 10am - 4.30pm (last coffee/ice cream orders at 4.30pm shop closes at 5pm). Monday to Saturday.
Winter Spring Summer & Fall - we are still setting up our gift and homeware area, but we have available a limited stock of our Jellycat range.
