Thank you to everyone who took part in our Guess the Shortbread competition at the Gairloch Gathering. We loved seeing all of your guesses, and we hope you enjoyed sampling our homemade shortbread too! 💛

We’re hiring! ☕️ We’ve got a great wee team at Am Bàrd Cafe but are needing some extra pairs of hands to get us through what is looking to be a VERY busy season!

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is happy to get stuck in as part of a hardworking team.

This is a seasonal, part-time position, working mainly front-of-house. Duties include:
• Taking customer orders
• Serving food and drinks
• Clearing tables
• Washing dishes
• Taking payments and using the till
• Providing excellent customer service

We’re looking for someone who:
• Is friendly, reliable and hardworking
• Enjoys working with the public
• Has good communication skills
• Works well as part of a team
• Is ideally available to work up to 5 days a week during the busy summer season (although we can be flexible for the right person)

About the Café ☕️
• Open Monday–Friday, 10am–3pm
• Serving breakfast, lunch and a large selection of home baking
• Located within Gairloch Museum
• Friendly team and a welcoming atmosphere

Previous customer service experience would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential. Full training will be provided, so we’d love to hear from anyone looking to gain experience in hospitality.
